The West Dallas community is invited to attend the Westmoreland Heights Community Center's 1st Anniversary celebration on Saturday, October 20th from 10a to 2p. The center is located at 3739 Homeland Street (intersecting with Norwich.) During the celebration, the center will host a Care Improvement Plus Senior Health Fair. Come out and celebrate!

Lakewest YMCA will host Dallas Police Department's Burglary Prevention Fair from 10a - 2p. Citizens can have their property (bikes, tools, ipods, etc.) engraved to prevent theft. Also, detectives will be available to talk to you one-on-one about any pending case that you have.
Animal Shelter Grand Opening celebration starting at 10a. The new shelter is located at Westmoreland and I-30 westbound access road. Enjoy cake and other family friendly events.
