Over the past several months burglaries are way up in West Dallas! Sgt. Smith is taking proactive steps to combat this neighborhood problem.
On Saturday, October 20th from 10a to 2p, Dallas Police detectives will be at the Lakewest YMCA (3737 Goldman) to discuss a pending burglary investigation. So if you know someone who has been burglarized, please call 214.670.6317 to pre-register.
Additionally, engravers will be available to etch identification on property to help prevent its theft. So bring your electronics (video games, ipod), bikes, small appliances, etc. to Lakewest YMCA so that it can be protected with your I.D. If you have larger items (T.V., bbq pit, lawn mower, etc.), the engravers will be able to go to your home to I.D. your property.
This is a rare opportunity to protect your belongings. Please spread the word to your neighbors and come out for this event!
